TICKET AGENT

We’re looking for a courteous and professional team player to join our ticket office team. It’s a fast-paced environment that requires effective operational and communication skills to describe and sell our ticketing products. You’ll be the first point of contact with our guests, so your courteous and professional approach to the job will foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Greet guests and sell tickets over a Point-Of-Sale system, both over the phone and face to face.

·       Inform and educate guests as to railway ticketing options and answer any inquiries produced by guests.

·       Receive telephone calls from guests and potential guests, selling advance reservations and handling requests as per Railway Standards.

·       Create an overall positive experience for our guests, whether in person or over the phone through use of positive language and professional courtesy.

·       Act as a member of a team, to accomplish the goal of providing an excellent customer service experience for our guests while also working against a time deadline.

·       Work in a high pace, busy environment that changes hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly depending on the mix of business for that time period.

Job Requirements:

·       Must be able to properly operate and use a computer

·       Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers

·       Must be able to maintain and accurately keep a cash bank

·       Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations

·       Must be punctual and reliable

·       Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations

·       Must be willing to work weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

The Mount Washington Cog Railway provides all necessary training for this position. This is a seasonal job with a layoff at the end of our season.
