The Cog Railway receives 2012 Courier Distinguished Dozen Award
Ride The Cog and Experience the World's First Mountain Climbing Cog Railway Combined with 21st Century Eco Friendly Biodiesel Technology.
Your 3 hour/6 mile round trip includes your round trip ticket, admission to the Mt. Washington Observatory Musuem and approximately one hour to enjoy the Summit of Mt Washington - the highest peak in the northeast.
During your trip you will travel over Jacob's Ladder which is the steepest trestle in America and while experiencing a National Historic Engineering Landmark.
Choose between our eco-friendly biodiesel or historic steam locomotives.
Made in the USA...The engines and coaches are designed and built at The Cog by its crew of talented machinists and craftsmen.
Season:
Trains begin running the first weekend in May and continue running weekends until Memorial Day. From Memorial Day until Dec. 4, Trains run daily. (Closed Thanksgiving Day).
Hours of Operation: 8:30-5:30 peak season
2012 Group Rates:
To qualify as a group, there must be at least 20 paying customers. (1 comp per 20 paying customers: driver and escort only.) A deposit is required to secure a reservation.
May and June: $25/per person
July: $35 per person (8:30, 10:30-2:30) $25 per person remaining trains
Aug: $35 per person (8:30, 10:30-2:30) $25 per person remaining trains
Sept. 1-3: $45/per person
Sept. 4-21: $35/per person
Sept. 22 - Oct. 8: $45/per person
Oct. 9-28: $45/per person (8:30, 10:30-2:30) $35/per person all other trains
Oct. 29 - Nov. 4: $25/per person
Nov. 5 - Dec. 2: $15/per person
